“Bayan ko, linis ko!”
Tuguegarao City– The University of Saint Louis (USL) actively participated in the first National Clean-up Day last Sept.17, 2016 in celebration of the National Clean-up Month, an annual event every September which is in parallel with the global World Clean and Green Week celebrations.
While regular classes were observed in the University, the non-teaching personnel (NTP), some student leaders, and the maintenance staff worked together to clean assigned areas in the campus and its vicinity.
In line with the long tradition of observing the Kaibigan ng Kalikasan Program (KKP) in the University, the NTP, through the Human Resource and Development Office (HRDO), launched the Office Greening and Ornamental Plant Project in Summer 2016 in celebration of the 14th Universityhood Anniversary of USL.
Just recently, the NTP received a reorientation on 5s (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) from Dr. Therese May G. Alejandrino, Dean of the School of Education, Arts and Sciences, in response to the University’s thrust on clean and green workplace.
“All these existing initiatives for the promotion of clean and healthy environment disposed the USL employees into diligent efforts and strong cooperation to support the National Clean-up Day, in their own humble but notable way,” said the USL Vice President for Administration, Dr. Rina M. Reyes.
