EE Department shows mettle in board exams, quiz show

Graduates and students of the University of Saint Louis’ (USL) Electrical Engineering Department have recently become achievers in their own rights.

The eighteen (18) total examinees from USL in the Sept. 2015 Electrical Engineer (EE) Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) obtained a 100 percent institutional passing mark for the University.

The successful examinees are as follows: Bryan May M. Bayaca, Ardel G. Caranguian, Joseph Oliver P. Casabuena, Bien Mc Arthur C. Diaz, Raymart G. Domingo, Danilo II S. Gregorio, Ferick E. Jacob, Kristian D. Mabborang, Mark Jhon M. Mansibang, Banjar P. Mateo, Nico Loui G. Obrero, Girlie R. Pablo, Reyclar Z. Pazziuagan, Marlon V. Reymundo, Willies Windle S. Romero, Rafael B. Tumaliuan, John Benedick P. Tuzon, and Venedick V. Viernes.

National passing rate in the EE exam was 67.23 percent.Remarkably, John Benedick P. Tuzon, one of the EE passers, placed ninth nationwide in the Registered Master Electrician (RME) Licensure Examination, also administered by PRC in Sept. 2015.

Meanwhile, Alvin Andres, Glister Angadol, Ramielle Christensen Badiles, Gower Lacambra, and Gerald Ursulum, 4th and 5th year BS Electrical Engineering students, took first place in the 29thIIEE-CSC (Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. – Council of Student Chapters) Regional Quiz Show held in Saint Louis University, Baguio City on Sept. 18, 2015.

Lacambra was the team captain and Engr. Victor C. Villaluz, USL-EE Department Head, was the team coach.

Student participants to the event came from the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Region, and Cagayan Valley Region which comprise IIEE’s Northern Luzon Region.
