Fostering the value of willingness to serve, college student leaders accepted the challenge of upholding the Louisian way of leadership as they formally took oath as officers for the school year 2018-2019 during the Mass Induction on August 3, 2018.
The mass induction commenced with a Eucharistic celebration followed by a program wherein Dr. Emmanuel James Pattaguan, the Vice President for Academics, inspired the student leaders to always serve with passion and compassion and to learn to always speak from the heart.

This school year’s organizational and departmental officers were inducted by Engr. Maynard S. Guinucay, a former student leader of the University. His message to the Louisian student leaders highlighted that the greatest show for leaders is the one that no one sees, and thus, service is not about getting the spotlight.
When Engr. Guinucay talked about his beginnings in leadership, he dropped the wisdom of always going back to the reason why one wanted to be a leader. He also shared the sentiment of a leadership that does not revolve on wanting the position but rather wanting to serve. He then emphasized that leaders should have the core value of kindness because kindness can change lives.

Moreover, Engr. Guinucay passed on the essence of knowing that no position in the organization is small, and that a student leader must always value his or her purpose.
Engr. Guinucay ended his speech by telling the student leaders that they should know everything that happens in their organization because they are also representing the organization and not only their position.
The program ended with a closing message from Mr. Herbert S. Corpuz, the Dean of Student Affairs, challenging the student leaders that their leadership should not be a show-off or a showdown of skills but a collaboration leadership that promotes vibrant campus life of students in the University.
The mass induction bannered the theme: “THE GREATEST SHOW: Leadership knitted through one mission, realized through one true service.”
