The University of Saint Louis (USL) administrators and basic education academic leaders participated in a four-day series of benchmarking sessions in Bangkok, Thailand last June 23-26, 2019.
The benchmarking was meant for the participants to learn from the experiences of select Thai basic education schools, both public and private.
Sessions with the benchmarked schools included facility tour which allowed participants hands-on experience of school facilities and formal sessions with question-and-answer portions.
With some other Philippine schools that participated, the benchmarking was under the auspices of Phoenix Publishing House.
The University President, Rev. Fr. Renillo H. Sta Ana, CICM, led the team of USL participants that includes the VP for Academics, Dr. Emmanuel James P. Pattaguan; the VP for Administration, Dr. Rina M. Reyes; the Elementary principal, Dr. Emily T. Mabborang; the High School principal, Ms. Mary Ann A. Baquiran; the assistant principals, and the area coordinators.
The assistant principals are Mrs. Lourdes C. Batac, Elementary; Dr. Lailanie V. Pattaguan, Junior High; and Mrs. Claire T. Gumarang, Senior High.
The Elementary coordinators are Mrs. Maria Dinky M. Lim for Math and Mrs. Maricel T. Salva for Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health (MAPEH). Meanwhile, the Junior High coordinators are Mrs. Mary Ann P. Bunagan, Computer; Mrs. Rosel B. Gannaban, Math; Mrs. Nemia D. Laureta, Filipino; Mrs. Melvie T. Mabbonag, T.L.E.; Mrs. Liza P. Maquera, English; and Mrs. Maribel J. Tacata, Science.
