The University of Saint Louis (USL) welcomed Dr. Jonathan R. Carreon, Vice President for Academics of Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU), on campus on January 12, 2023.
He was greeted at the Sacred Heart Board Room (SHBR) by some members of the Administration led by the University President, Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM. This led to a brief exploratory talk on possible areas of collaboration between and among the academic units of USL and HCU.
On the following day, Dr. Carreon met with the heads and staff of the University Research and Development Center (URDC) and the Center for Community Engagement and CICM Advocacies (CECA), and talked about two topics: (1) Streamlining Research Practices and Community Services: The Gourami Model; and (2) Resilience: Community Empowerment.
With this collaboration meeting, USL and HCU seek to launch concrete programs that would involve both parties.
