Representatives from the University of Saint Louis visited Thailand on April 24-25, 2023, to ink collaborative endeavors and explore more partnership opportunities.
Further solidifying their partnership, USL and Huachiew Chalermprakiet University successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a Memorandum of Agreement in the area of Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science. As part of this collaboration, USL students will have the opportunity to take part in short-term international internship training at HCU and engage in benchmarking and cultural immersion experiences.
They also sat down with representatives of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi for an exploratory conversation on potential academic partnerships and collaboration. It was an excellent opportunity to explore new avenues for advancing education and research.
Over the course of two days, the USL delegation, led by University President Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, together with Mr. Sander T. Sedano, Internationalization Officer; Mr. Alvin A. Aldea, MT/MLS Program Chair; and Engr. Rolando Bitagun, Civil Engineering Instructor, met with key figures in the industry to further USL’s commitment to internationalization and advance its mission of providing top-notch education.
The delegation was met by HCU’s Dr. Jonathan Rante Carreon, Vice President for Academics and representatives from the Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Medical Technology, and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences; KMUTT’s Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornapit Darasawang, Acting Vice President for Internationalization; Asst. Prof. Nanthana Boonla-Or, Lecturer, School of Architecture and Design; Ms. Thitikarn Srithranon, Foreign Affairs Coordinator, School of Architecture and Design; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jonathan Hoyin Chan, Advisor to the Dean for Internationalization, School of Information Technology; Asst. Prof. Dr. Natjiree Jaturapitakkul, Associate Dean for Global Competence Development, School of Liberal Arts; Asst. Prof. Thanis Tangkitjaroenkun, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, School of Liberal Arts; and Ms. Parichart Kreaktarvuth, International Coordinator, International Affairs Office.
USL is thrilled to be forging new relationships with institutions in Thailand and looks forward to building on these partnerships and creating even more opportunities for its students and faculty.
