In pursuit of the University of Saint Louis’ Kaibigan ng Kalikasan Program (KKP), the Junior High School (JHS) relaunched the Mug-to-Go Program last Sept. 10, 2019 during the JHS Flag Ceremony at the High School Quadrangle and after the Vocation Mass at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium.
The objective of the Mug-to-Go Program is for students to use their mugs or eco-bottles for their water and other allowable drinks. It also intends to avoid the use of plastic bottle containers that contribute to excessive wastes or trashes.
The office of the JHS assistant principal, together with the High School principal and the JHS faculty, helps in the implementation of the program. The Science teachers are also tapped to monitor its implementation.
The program was first launched by the High School on Sept. 10, 2012.
It is hoped that the initiative will promote consciousness for reduced use or eventually permanent nonuse of plastics in the University.
The Louisian STARS are kindled to support the Mug-to- Go Program.
