Phase 2 of USL’s Cagayan Valley R&D KMS project gets DOST-GIA funding

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 02 has approved the second phase of the project entitled, “Cagayan Valley Research and Development Knowledge Management System (CVRDKMS)” under the DOST Grant-in-Aid (GIA).

Earlier today, September 25, Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang, DOST 2 regional director, awarded the check amounting to P500,000.00 to the project team led by Ms. Luisa B. Aquino, MSIT, Executive Assistant to the President for Institutional Development, Quality Assurance and Communications (IDQAC).

The first phase of the project commenced last November 2018 after the project got its first funding amounting to P495, 880.00.

The CVRDKMS project is a web-based application aimed to provide an online repository of researches in the Region. It includes the facility to manage proposal submissions and monitoring and evaluation of all approved grants in the Region.  

On a larger scale, the project was conceived in order to provide open access to research outputs in the Region and create global visibility and promotion of scholarly researches.

The University, through Ms. Luisa Aquino, receives the funding from DOST Regional Director Sancho Mabborang.
