Prayer room set up for spiritual meditation, counseling

A Catholic institution, the University of Saint Louis has set up a prayer room at the second floor of the Good Shepherd Chapel.

According to Rev. Fr. Renillo H. Sta. Ana, CICM, University president, the Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae (CICM) fathers formed a religious missionary community wherein praying together as a community is part of one’s responsibilities.

“The prayer room helps the community to come together in prayer,” Fr. Sta. Ana said.

“It is primarily for the CICM community; however, anyone who wishes to come for personal prayer and meditation [is welcome],” he added.

The University President noted that the prayer room can also serve as a place for spiritual counseling.

“It is good that everyone will find even a little prayer corner where he/she can stay,” he further said.
