Eight Teacher Education students from the School of Education, Arts, and Sciences (SEAS) presented their papers in three different international research conferences.
John Michael Bassig, Bachelor in Secondary Education (BSEd) Social Science IV, presented his research entitled The Status of the Alternative Learning System in Tuguegarao City in the 3rd International Research Conference on Diversity in Education held last Aug. 29-31, 2016 in Davao City.
It was hosted by the Consortium of Asia-Pacific Education Universities (CAPEU) and Philippine Normal University (PNU) and attended by researchers and faculty members from Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Loren Joy Manuel and Raiza Mae Ramel, both BSEd Filipino IV students, also presented their research entitled Extent of Attainment of Teacher Education Graduates of their Program Learning Outcomes in Diliman, Quezon City during the 9thInternational Conference on Teacher Education, Sept. 1-3, 2016.
The conference was organized and hosted by the College of Education of the University of the Philippines (UP).
Moreover, five fourth year BSEd Social Science and MAPEH students presented their researches during the 4thInternational Higher Education Research Forum organized by the Philippine Higher Education Research Consortium (PHERC) with Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) as the main host last Sept.14-17, 2016 in Tagaytay City.
The following were the presenters from the University of Saint Louis (USL): Emely Agustin (The Status of Boarding Houses in Tuguegarao City), Jesrael Medrano (Rice Combine Harvester: Its Effects to the Livelihood of Rice Field Tenants in a Second Class Municipality), Ma. Felisa Addun and Henry James Echalar (Filipino Values Depicted in the Highest Filipino Grossing Film of All Time), and Joe Angelo Bautista (Instructional Strategies and Assessment Techniques of Physical Education Instructors).
Mr. Darin Jan C. Tindowen, SEAS Research Associate and Research Instructor, accompanied the students in the conferences.
