USL renews agreements with Chinese, Vietnamese universities

In furtherance of its efforts for globalization, the University of Saint Louis (USL) has renewed its memorandum of agreement with China Jiliang University (CJLU) located in Hangzhou City in China’s Zhejiang province, and Thuongmai University (TU) found in Hanoi, capital of Vietnam.

The new memoranda of agreement for both universities revolve on Faculty Exchanges, Student Exchanges, which include but not limited to practicum, on-the-job-training programs, cultural exchange, research collaboration, conduct of short-term immersion, and cultural visit or short programs.

The CJLU has been USL’s partner since 2009 with which student exchange, faculty exchange and benchmarking activities have been conducted. For Thuongmai University (formerly Vietnam University of Commerce), USL has been its partner since the last five years.

TU partnered with USL in the hosting of research conferences along business programs.

In the January 2020 visit of USL to CJLU, USL President Rev. Fr. Renillo H. Sta Ana, CICM, and the VP for Academics, Dr. Emmanuel James P. Pattaguan, further discussed cooperation between USL and the said universities.

An international immersion program for Engineering students and faculty has been discussed with CJLU as to start the cooperation with the renewal of the MOA.

Similarly, an immersion of the faculty and students in the Business and Teacher Education programs will be done with TU.

Follow up on the other areas of cooperation will follow suit.
