Three University of Saint Louis (USL) Junior High School students are the official representatives of the Cagayan Valley Region to the 8th St. Paul National Bible Quiz (SPNBQ) on Sept. 16, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
The USL team’s road to the National Bible Quiz championship started with the Regional Eliminations participated by 14 schools with two teams each last July 29, 2017 at Our Lady of the Pillar College, Cauayan City.
The USL teams topped the elimination round with Geikie Dayag (G10), Annika Faye Durana (G10), and Guianne Faith Pagalilauan (G9) as champion and Yanka Yna Maria Fuertes (G9), Joseph Graham Long (G10), and Franz Joshua Mangwag (G10) in second place.
Dayag, Durana and Pagalilauan advanced to the Regional Finals on July 30 at SM Cauayan. They managed to maintain their lead and were declared champion. Moreover, they were the sole team that earned a perfect score in the essay category of the Regional Finals.
